Since I was 15 I have held on to this poem. It was given to me in the office of Volvo Penta, Gothenburg, where I was helping sorting out client files as my summer job. I can't remember the name of the man who gave it to me, but I do remember the feeling when I read it.
This poem has become the foundation of who I have become. I am not a victim of my childhood, nor am I to be determined by others, I am what I want to be because I choose to interpret it this way. Do I always manage to live by this and live up to it? of course not. It is so easy to blame external factors like; work situation, bad collegues, husband or childrens behaviour etc. But I know that everything changes as soon as I decide which attitude and which approach I choose to take to them all. I am sharing my most precious poem with you because I am hoping that it will have a profound impact on you as well. On a side not I strongly disagree with Mr C. R Swindoll's overall belief system. Mr Swindoll is a pastor and great believer in God, I am an atheist with clear believes in facts and figures. I teach my children the difference between facts and imagination and we have great "play-pretend" games around father Christmas, tooth fairies and other non proven imaginary ideas that people tend to talk about as truths.

Someone said attitude can win you a hundred percent success towards what you want to achieve. This will really show you how your attitude can impact things around and how a small change in attitude could improve so many things for you.

Attitude really matters. Whether it is about family, friends, co-workers, office, or any organizational issues you have. They said that education is the only treasure your parents can give, but I dare that, that is not the only one. For me, attitude is still the first thing a parent can leave yo and you can treasure it. You can do nothing about your intelligence if your attitude is messy and not good. Having a good attitude is always the "come first" before the intellectual capacity of a person.
